Most people know someone or at least have heard of someone who has given birth at home. For some it may conjure up an image of a pioneer woman who is assisted by a granny midwife who lacks all her teeth. Others may think of women in flowing tie dye dresses who smell of patchouli. Neither is very close to the reality of the 21st century.
Come see a short film of a Chicago home birth, see photos, and hear about home birth care. There will be plenty of time for a Q&A session, so you can make an informed decision about whether home birth is for you. Men and women welcome. Children are as well, but you know your kids best and if it would detract from your ability to relax and enjoy the evening, then think about a babysitter.
